Using Weekly Timesheet Template
Spreadsheet123 offers a template that generates both weekly and bi-weekly timesheets. The settings page in this template acts like a database to store all the company details that would automatically populate some cells on the weekly and bi-weekly sheets. You can select enable or disable option from the drop down menu to either print the company name or slogan onto the timesheet or not. There is another field to record the currency symbol from the drop down. This template helps in calculating total amount of hours and employee gross wages on weekly or bi-weekly basis. You can even set the color scheme for this timesheet.
The Weekly and bi-weekly Timesheets are almost same with a simple difference that one records the time week by week and the other maintains the time record for two weeks. The time is stored in a decimal format like a two hour thirty minutes of work would be entered as 2.50. Both timesheets print the company details and the logo, which you can insert. Other important information captured is as follows:
- Department Name - stores the name of the department that the employee belongs to
- Employee ID - is a unique ID linked to each employee
- Employee Name - enter the name of the employee
- Employee phone No. - to be able to contact the employee if required
- Employee Email - records the email ID for setting up mail communication
- Manager - manager name whom the employee reports to
- Week Commencing - date of the day which would be the first day of commencing the work.
The table gives the day wise details of hours spent. The various time categories are regular hours, overtime, sick, vacation, public holidays, etc. Total time is automatically calculated on both timesheets. The worksheet also helps to calculate the total pay earned for the week. The hour rates are specified and the template uses the pre-defined formulas to calculate the gross pay.
Below the information table, there is a pie chart that shows the percentage hours spent for each category of hours. The chart shows the net total reported hours and the gross pay an employee earned for the week or bi-weekly. You can simply print the timesheet, sign it and forward it to the manager for his approval. The template makes tracking time and generating pay slips a much more fast and simple process.
We recommend you not to change or delete the pre-defined formulas of the template. By doing so the entire template would get altered as the various fields have interconnected formulas and the results in such a scenario would be doubtful.
