Retirement Budget Template is a simple Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet, specifically created to help when estimating your retirement budget. This simple budget planner can calculate amount of income that is necessary to cover all costs of living at your retirement with consideration of inflation factor. Unlike my Annuity Calculator this retirement budget calculates amount necessary for retirement based on cost of living in today's dollar then also calculates these costs of living at your retirement age and every year thereafter for the specified number of years.
In other words this budget planner can help to calculate a total amount of savings for retirement with considering inflation.
Along with this template I have also developed a series of other retirement related calculators such as Savings Interest Calculator, 401k Savings Calculator, Annuity Estimator and Retirement Savings Calculator, which may also be worth taking a look or download for further analyses of you savings for retirement.

Using retirement budget planner will give you a pretty good idea of what you need to save for your retirement by making an assumption of the amount that you need to cover the costs of living and also includes calculation of inflation. Template contains two worksheets, Retirement Budget and Budget for Inflation. First you need to create your budget by entering weekly, monthly and annual cost amounts in to categories provided. By doing so you will end up with the sum that you need to cover the cost of you live for one year. On the Budget for Inflation worksheet you will not need to do much, but enter the number years of living after retirement and assumed Inflation rate. This retirement budget is also available as OpenOffice.org Calc template. |
