Open Excel.

Using the following words, create a word search.

Set up the worksheet.

Type a heading for the Word Search.

Highlight the cells A1-I1 (the top row).

Click the Merge and Center Button on the toolbar.

The worksheet will now look like this.

Click inside the row and type "Word Search.

Make the title "Word Search" bigger.

Go to the toolbar above.
Click the drop-down arrow by the numbers for font size.
Click on "18."
Your title should look like the one below.

Press down the Caps Lock key (under the Tab key) on the keyboard.

Starting in row 2, begin typing the words (one letter to a cell) to create the word search puzzle.

Don't go beyond row 13.

Move around the boxes by clicking the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Fill in the boxes with other letters when you are done.

Your puzzle should look something like this.

Click and drag the mouse to highlight rows 1 through 8 and columns A through K.

Go to the toolbar above.

Click the drop-down arrow by the numbers for font size.

Click on "18."

Scroll down the worksheet.
Click and drag the mouse to highlight rows 9 through 13 and columns A through K.

Go to the toolbar above.

Click the drop-down arrow by the numbers for font size.

Click on "18."

Click in cell A15.
Type the word computer.

Click in cell A16.

Type the word printer.

Click in cell A17.

Type the word modem.

Click in cell D15.
Type the word ink.

Click in cell D16.

Type the word software.

Click in cell D17.

Type the word file.

Click in cell G15.

Type the word folder.

Click in cell G16.

Type the word scanner.

Click in cell G17.

Type the word windows.

Click the Print Preview Window.

Your finished word search should look like the one below.
